GERD Elimination Diet – Day 9

Breakfast

Oats, oat milk, cinnamon, vanilla, cashew butter, raspberries. About 350 calories.

Lunch

Leftover chicken/bean/vegetable soup from last night, nearly 400 calories.

Dinner

Leftover soup again. It was really good, okay, and it has to get eaten some time! Nearly 400 calories.

Snack

Fruit and cashews, about 200 calories.

Macros

Today my split was 37% carbs, 41% fat, 22% protein. Although the fat seems a bit high I really don’t think it’s negatively affecting me. But my total calories only amounted to about 1300 so I guess it’s not like that’s really a lot of fat. By the same logic it’s not much protein either and I need to be eating more.

This is my second day in a row not taking the proton pump inhibitors and I’ve had some slight heartburn. I may even be doing it to myself because I’m expecting it, if that makes sense. You know, when you seem to have something wrong with you but it’s all in your head? That. I definitely have anxiety problems which are not helped by COVID-19, and anxiety is linked to GERD. I’m trying to keep myself calm through yoga but it’s not easy.
