GERD Elimination Diet – Day 24

Breakfast

Back to boring oats again. Oats, almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla, cashew butter with mango on the side. Nearly 400 calories.

Lunch

Tuna, brown rice, vegetables and herbs all mixed together. About 380 calories.

Dinner

Baked chicken breast, brown rice and vegetables, about 420 calories.

Snack

Pistachios, 160 calories. Today I learned something about pistachios that I wish I’d learned a long time ago. I was frustrated at how difficult it can be to open them sometimes, and I found out by looking online that you can just slide in the shell of another pistachio and kind of wedge it in there and twist it and it will help the shell crack open. This way I was able to open every nut, except one loner that was not split at all, but that’s rare.

Macros

According to the Fitbit app my split today was 38% carbs, 36% fat and 26% protein, and I ate about 1350 calories. I’m much happier with these stats than those of the last few days since I feel my calories have been far too low.

Final Thoughts

I’m feeling good aside from missing eggs. Just tomorrow to go without them and if I’m still feeling fine I get to include them from the next day on, and I get to introduce potatoes! It’s weird what makes me excited these days.
