GERD Elimination Diet – Day 42

Breakfast

Fried rice with a bunch of vegetables and an egg on top, about 380 calories.

Lunch

Tuna, mozzarella and baby spinach mix on a flour tortilla, about 310 calories.

Dinner

Miso soup with ginger, vegetables, chicken and soba noodles, about 400 calories.

I intended to make two servings (one for dinner tomorrow as well), but the serving size of the noodles according to the packet turned out to be too big so I have some for lunch tomorrow as well. I found this weird since usually serving sizes are smaller than I would like.

Macros

According to the Fitbit app, my split today was 43% carbs, 27% fat and 30% protein and I ate about 1100 calories. This seems really low but I also didn’t really do anything today.

Final Thoughts

Today and tomorrow are for reintroducing soy. I’m not really into tofu so I’m just focusing on the soy products I actually want to eat, which are soy sauce and miso.

It often seems like whenever I reintroduce a food, I get sad thinking of all the things I still can’t have that would go great with it. Like, I usually add oyster sauce, garlic and sriracha to my fried rice. Sometimes hoisin sauce if I want it a little sweet. I can’t have those so for flavoring I just had soy sauce, ginger and a little sesame oil. I think when I reintroduce sugar that will help a lot… hopefully. I think that will be within the next two weeks.
